The book was written and illustrated by Adrians older brother Mark. He created the book so people would be able to get to know Adrian better and help build new relationships.

This book is an amazing example of how to use a beautiful, creative social narrative to help people to get to know individuals with limited communication skills. Tools like protocols and behavior support plans can seem very cold and clinical to staff trying to understand the likes and needs of individuals. This is a brilliant, warm addition to such tools.
I work at a school and residential home for children and adults with a wide range of disabilities, specializing in autism, traumatic brain injury, down syndrome and cerebral palsy. I cannot wait to show this book to leadership team at my work!

Communication is vital to our everyday lives. The book Mark has written and illustrated for his brother Adrian provides a deeper understanding of Adrian's limited speech difficulties and autism. The book is a useful tool for people supporting Adrian. It discribes the difficulties Adrian faces in his everyday life.It reminds people just how differently the world appears to Adrian,and others like him. It can be a useful tool for others to do the same for their loveones.I am very proud of my three children, for working together to create this book.
